A Frontmania Meetup powered by our partner Sogeti.
In a special collaboration with Sogeti (Frontend Lightning Talks) we will host a special edition of their Lightning Talks on the 14th September.
In a digital webinar we will be talking about modern JavaScript & Frameworks. Three short lightning talks with some amazing speakers will fill your evening with a lot of information, inspiration and fun!
To give you an idea of what our great speakers will talk about this evening, you will find a short discription below:
Drazen Jankovic – Accessibility inside frameworks with Pa11y
Are you looking into starting with accessibility for your project but don’t know where to start? So many guidelines and rules and pitfalls, so where do you start … if only you could make a dashboard of some kind?!
I will be guiding you on how to make your Angular (or any other framework) application accessible and hopefully, you will be able to start running tests within 15 minutes.
Wessel Loth – Fire your frontend framework with Lit!
Web components have been around for a while, but have not entered the mainstream just yet. However, in the past few years there’s been a silent storm of tiny upcoming utility libraries like Lit! These libraries make it dead-easy to work with web components, and help you build modern frontends apps without depending on big and bulky frameworks. During this Lightning talk, Wessel will teach you the basics, show how to love native web development and give pointers on how you can start simplifying your frontend today!
Ruben van der Leun – Augmented and Virtual Reality, powered by the browser
One of the buzzwords that you have likely heard (or experienced) in the past few years is all about XR: Augmented and Virtual Reality. These innovations are driving us into developing new ways on how people can meet up, knowledge can be shared and immerse us into entirely new experiences. And best of all, thanks ot the WebXR API, we can do this in a browser! In this lightning talk, I want to highlight how much is (and isn’t) already possible with just Javascript(and HTML!), and how we can transport our users into new worlds or add virtual objects into their own environment.
Doesn’t this sounds like a great evening?!
When you register now, you also get a year membership of the Frontmania Community for free! Also, during the meetup itself we will distribute some discount codes and free tickets to the Frontmania Conference on the 13th October.
Register here and we will see you on the 14th September!
